Fire safety is about more than what the law requires.
It’s about protecting the people in your business, as well as protecting your physical assets.
You are required by law to have a fire risk assessment carried out for your premises, that is reviewed annually.
You must also ensure safe premises, such as escape routes, signage, fire detection and fire fighting measures.

The requirements depends on the risk, and the risk depends on the structure, organisation, activities and layout of your premises.

Must be done by a competent person. There is no definition of competent in law, but I would highly recommend a qualified fire risk assessor from the risk assessors register here.
