After 19 years of running businesses for other people, I decided it was time to start my own.

The company started trading as Huite Consulting. I needed to establish how I could help others, and share my knowledge, whilst also paying the bills and taking care of my (not so small) family.

I spent a lot of time meeting new people, networking, and getting my name out there.

After 8 months I had worked out that my top skills are supporting small businesses and startups that feel stuck, lost or overwhelmed with aspects of what it takes to run a business. So I became Oxford People Solutions.

My qualifications in strategic leadership & Management, HR, Health & Safety and Environmental Management, combined with my operational & commercial experience mean I can get involved and quickly learn about your business to support you where you need it most. Helping you get time back to relax, or to re-focus your priorities.

I’m people focused, but with a strong principles led view that people are your business, and business thrives when people work towards common goals.

So far I’ve been involved in supporting CEO’s to align departments who just didn’t see eye to eye. Handled disciplinary and grievance investigations. Created policies and procedures for HR and Health & Safety.

Employee Handbooks, DSE Assessments and other risk assessments.

Training junior Line Managers to understand the wider commercial challenges of running a business, develop communication and leadership skills and find ways to increase revenue.

I’ve set up project management systems, supported sustainability steering groups and joined the board of a local charity!
