The policy covers how you comply with the law, and how you aim to protect people.
This will specify how you will manage things like fire risk, like accidents and first aid, for example.
Employees have a legal responsibility to follow your procedures and keep other people and the workplace safe too.
The policy makes this clear, and means you have a clear set of rules. If people don’t comply it makes dealing with exits much simpler.
You don’t need a dedicated expert on your payroll when you are small, but having an outsourced service means you can focus on your business knowing your workplace is safe and compliant.
