Founded by a collective of consultants, with expertise across:

E,D&I - Leadership Development - Business Management - Psychology - HR - H&S - Sustainability

Why do people come to us?

  • Many managers are what we call accidental.

They have been put in a role with no training, no mentor, no support - just because they were efficient, or good at their job.

They soon learn its tough. People don’t always listen.

Managers are under pressure to perform.

    It gets stressful.

We support by listening, supporting, mentoring and guiding. You also get to meet others like you, who are there, have been there or are heading there.

It can make such a difference to your mental health, just having that support.

  • Not everyone has support where they need it.

Often Managers fear speaking up, because they fear failure and judgement.

We support Managers to have difficult conversations, and to believe and stick by their values - because we know how much it affects our mental health when we break them.

  • Leadership is about seeing the best in people, and learning to harness strengths in the right way throughout your team.

How do you get the most out of your team?

Learn from them, work with them and create clear goals and boundaries.

We provide practical resources, and balance hard vs soft skills to develop future leaders.

If there’s no safe space for leaders, how can we expect them to lead others without completely burning out?

TESTIMONIALS

Lisa Avery - The Positive Psychologist - MOCHA Co-Founder

"I cannot recommend Lisa enough. Her value surpasses a monetary figure, she is clearly very well clued up in practical ways to help anyone acheive and even surpass their goals. "f you want to change the mentality of your team, or drive better results it starts with Positive Psychology, and you definitely want to get an expert leading it"

Ed Jervis - Equity, Diversity and Inclusion expert. MOCHA Co Founder

"I've worked alongside Ed for a number of years on a range of EDI programmes, projects and external engagements and I'm constantly blow away by his ability to read people, situations and to carve out a clear pathway towards meaningful change. Ed is unapologetic in his approach, often going into situations so many would shy away from, asking the "uncomfortable" questions and pushing people into spaces and mindsets where they can grow"

Carlos Dean - Leadership coach. MOCHA Co Founder

"It takes courage to embrace honesty. Honesty with oneself, ones situation, and from others. Carlos is showing me how to better accept honesty from within and from others, and to deliver honesty with empathy, leading to enrichment and balance"

Sherry White. People & Culture Consultant. MOCHA Co Founder

"I highly recommend Sherry as an outstanding manager. In the time we worked together she consistently demonstrated strategic vision, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. She also excels in creating a culture of community among team members"

  • "To practice psychological safety you first need a laboratory environment, so that's what we created"

Our Guiding Principles

Meaningful

Your work is not just your job. Work should be your passion.

Life is about finding meaning in what we do, and we are here to help you find the passion in what you do.

Openness

For a long time people have feared being open.

We aim to provide a safe space to be your authentic self, whilst learning and developing your personal mission, and learning to be the you that makes you happy at work.

Community

We are an inclusive community. That means open to everyone. Our values matter and we will not tolerate ignorance towards others.

By fostering this community, we work with you to develop your own workplace community that also fosters your true human values, and serves your authentic purpose.

Human

Leading is first understanding that employees are people. Everything we teach focuses on the human side of enterprise and how by unlocking the power of people, business can be truly sustainable.

Authentic

We understand you have been shaped by your life experiences. We are here to guide to you to find out the kind of people leader you really want to be.

Carlos Dean - Co-Founder MOCHA

“You’ve got the responsibility, as a leader to support other people, but you need somebody to go to and talk about that. If that person is not somebody you feel you can approach then that can cause mental health problems.”

Ed Jervis - Co-Founder MOCHA

“We’ve got to be able to make a safe space for these leaders who are struggling, and soft skills are really, really difficult. Organisations need to look at how they manage power dynamics and I don’t think we talk about that enough.”

Ed Jervis, Inclusion Crowd Chief Disruptor. ED&I expert.
Lisa Avery - The positive psychologist. What is PERMA?

Lisa Avery - Co-Founder MOCHA

“Soft skills, which are really not that soft at all, project everything we do in this life. It can be hard to get lost in a sea of negativity and chaos, but that’s where people need to look at their values and look at what they want from their work.”

Sherry White - People Consultant for science and technology

Sherry White - Co-Founder MOCHA

“For people who want to go into leadership roles for the people element - it is a massive challenge. What we are doing here is something that would have made such a difference to me as a manager. Leaders need an outlet for themselves and we have created that space and can continue to do so together”
